About me
A short self-portrait.
I am a pediatric nurse, certified lactation consultant IBCLC, development-supportive neonatal companion and antenatal educator (GfG).
My work builds on 40 years of practice, mostly with premature and sick newborns. Breastfeeding and bonding support have always been close to my heart — because this is where we “set the course for a whole life” (Deutsche Hebammenzeitschrift 4/2012).
My path.

What I do today.
For many years I have been working freelance as a lactation consultant in my own practice. I champion a breastfeeding culture in Germany and regularly give talks at breastfeeding congresses, conferences and professional meetings.
As a lecturer at the Training Center for Lactation and Breastfeeding I prepare medical professionals for the IBCLC examination. I also teach in the training program for development-supportive neonatal companions.
I conduct trainings in preparation for the certification as a “Baby-Friendly Hospital / Children's Hospital”.
